									INCOSE Measurement Tools Survey Instructions
Background This survey instrument was developed by the INCOSE Measurement Working Group in the late 1990's and reviewed in 2005. Currently, initial surveys are provided to measurement tool vendors for completion; posting and updates are performed by the Tools Database Working Group. There are plans underway to provide a mechansim to allow tool vendors to enter and update their contact information and survey responses automatically as the need arises. Instructions for Completing/Updating the Online Survey 1. This Excel file contains a complete list of the survey questions and contact info requested. Each question should be answered with respect to compliance (Full, Partial, None). We encourage you to do more than just indicate compliance, but explain how you address the requirement using the additional Comments field associated with each survey question. The current release supports editing one survey question at a time. It is recommended that vendors develop their survey responses prior to requesting an account. Since there are a number of questions, it will take time to complete the entire survey; but once established editing/changing will be much easier. It is not necessary to complete the survey in its entirety at one time. However, note that the incomplete survey will be available to the public as soon as the account it requested. 2. The Tools Database Working Group reserves the right to remove/edit answers that are blatant overstatements/misstatements about the capabilities of your tool. We will let you know our issue and give you a chance to address it. 3. Following submission of your completed or revised survey response, an entry for your tool will be inserted in the Tools Survey table. 4. To completely delete a tool and the associated survey entry, send an email request with contact information to 5. It is not possible to import survey responses from Excel or other file formats at this time. Feel free to send survey comments, suggestions to 6. If you wish to update your company information, send an email request with new contact information (name, phone, email, etc.) to
