What the event organizer should know: Here with our menu suggestions for you. Enclosed you will find numerous proposals for aperitifs, hors d’oeuvres, first courses, main dishes and desserts which you can put together as you wish. We have also composed various set menus for you that you merely need to order but even there guests can exchange individual courses with each other (then, of course, the calculated price is no longer the same!). Should you have your own ideas or fancies please let us know – we shall gladly advise you about the individual possibilities. Please arrange an appointment with us in advance before you actually come to see us, so that we are able to discuss all relevant details precisely. Number of persons If a change is made in the number of participants up to 2 days before the date of event, no charge is made. The number of persons notified 2 days before the event is valid as a calculation basis. Menu suggestions/ Menu choice The menus are made up for events with minimum 10 persons. You cannot select single items at random from these menu suggestions, as we do not have all dishes immediately available. Our menu suggestions are on the following pages. Naturally we are very happy to make your own choice of menu, subject to a change in price. In order to carry out your special occasion perfectly we request you to choose the same menu for a group of 10 to 12 persons and to notify us of you wish at least 10 days before the date of the event. Menu Card We print your menu on our menu cards free of charge. Should you wish a special print we shall organize this and invoice you accordingly Extended hours Officially we close at 11.30 p.m. For the permission to extend our opening hours we charge you CHF 200.00 per hour, part or whole hour, after midnight and for the night duty surcharge CHF 50.00. per staff member per part or whole hour after midnight. Individual encashment We trust you will understand that we cannot invoice guests separately in groups of 10 persons upwards.

At the end of the menu proposals is a check list to enable you to plan better for your special event. GENERALCONDITIONS OF BUSINESS Restaurant Die Waid, Waidbadstrasse 45, 8037 Zürich
General Below you will find the general conditions for holding events in the Restaurant Waid (thereafter described as ‘restaurant’) which are components of the contract resulting from the assignment issued by you (thereafter described as ‘organizer’). Any different conditions of the organizer are consequently invalid. The organizer submits to these our conditions as well as all pertinent or other regulations legal in the trade and with his signature accepts the liability for maintaining them. Basis/realization of contract Valid as basis is the reservation /assignment confirmation or rather the offer signed by the client. Additional information such as subsequent instructions (notifying kitchen, organization plans, timing plans, offers or services etc.) is an integral part of the reservation confirmation or the offer. The contract cannot be unilaterally dissolved. Assigning the contract to a third party as well as the use of accommodation, for the agreed purpose, requires to have our previously written agreement thereto. If the reservation is taken up by a third party, this third party, irrespective of an effective authorization from the client, become the contractual partner and is liable for all commitments created by the contract with the client as legally liable for the whole amount of the debt. Option dates Option dates (offers, contracts) are binding for both parties. After the expiry of the prescribed period, we can make free use of the reserved date unless the client has provided a written confirmation. This confirmation must reach us on the last date of the prescribed period. Guarantee of participating persons The organizer recognizes that for fixed reserved events the number of participants determined in the confirmation is considered valid as the guaranteed minimum and will be thus invoiced as such. The organizer can cancel this guaranteed minimum up to 4 weeks before the date of the event with maximum 10% duty-free Cancellation fees for fixed reservations/number of persons Up to 4 weeks before date of event 50% of the expected total sale 4 weeks to 3 work-days 75% of expected total sale 3 work-days to actual date 100% of expected total sale Contract cancellation by the restaurant The restaurant is entitled at any time and without giving reasons to terminate the contractual agreement when the event endangers the smooth running of the business, as well as in the case of an Act of God. The organizer is thereby not in any way entitled to make claims for damages. Prices Our prices are inclusive of all legal taxes and fees. Charges for drinks Unless another agreement has been made, drinks will be charged according to the actual amount consumed. The organizer accepts the restaurant’s estimates. Insurances The contractual partner is obliged to insure against all possible risks goods and chattels brought in. The Restaurant Waid refuses any liability whatsoever. The guarding of persons/objects during/between the events rests with the organizer. The Restaurant Waid is liable exclusively for objects taken into repository against receipts. Delivery notes for goods delivery in favour of a third party are not accepted as repository receipts. Our cadre staffs are exclusively authorized to sign repository receipts

Liability The organizer is liable for any injury, impairment or damage caused by him, his staff, his guests or by his agent or representative, without taking into consideration whether he is to blame or not. If necessary the restaurant can demand that the organizer takes out an appropriate insurance. Room hire/minimum consummation Room hire agreed upon is valid exclusively for the availability of the specified rooms, as well as for the furnishing required by you, in so far as the restaurant has the same at its disposal. We reserve the right, if necessary, to suit, adapt or adjust the minimum consummation to the rooms hired. Hours of employment and staff costs Service times/waiting times: Regular, proper service times are from Monday to Sunday up to midnight (12 a.m.) and these are calculated as part of the agreed price. Working hours over the normal period are additionally calculated and invoiced. If the time of waiting goes more than 15 minutes beyond the agreed service time, each additional part or whole of an hour will be additionally invoiced. Events with prolongation: For events that last longer than the official closing hours we charge additionally for the permission to have opening extension a basic fee of CHF 200.00 per hour + CHF 50 .00 per staff member per hour. Music Taking the neighbourhood’s ‘night rest’ into consideration, live music can be played until 1 a.m. We assume you will understand that the restaurant as events venue is legally obliged to ensure that the various regulations imposed by the authorities have to be strictly observed. The costs for all official applications and regulations are met entirely by the organizer of the event. Peace and order. The users of the hired premises are pledged to maintain peace and order. Our restaurant reserves the right to withdraw from reservations or discontinue an event without indemnity, should the orderly business undertaking, the safety of persons or the reputation of the venue be endangered. This is particularly the case if untruthful or incomplete information about the content and course of the event has been made. Permission The organizer is responsible for all the necessary permits, in so far that the tender/confirmation of assignment does not otherwise indicate. Decoration The organizer is obliged to inform the restaurant of any envisaged installation of decorative material or other objects, for the restaurant’s approval and permission. The rooms used for the event must not be damaged. Such materials and objects must be installed by professional workers and all the police & fire regulations must be strictly observed. The production and construction costs of the installations are met entirely by the organizer. Food & drink brought in Without the restaurant’s written authorisation no food or beverages for consumption can be brought into the restaurant. The restaurant reserves the right to charge an equivalent price for the food and drink brought in. Cleaning, refuse If special cleaning as well as additional refuse disposal is necessary because of excessive soiling, the contract partner will be invoiced with a surcharge. Legal venue The legal venue is the place of business of the Restaurant Waid Read and accepted: Name, firm……………………….. Place, date………………………….. Signature, contractual partner……………………………
