					The Requirements for PIO Card
The following are the requirements for issue of PIO Card. All documents including application form should be in duplicate. 1. Proof of Person of Indian Origin Primary documents/proof: (i) Indian Passport/travel document of the applicant or either of his/her parents or grand parents or great grand parents. Secondary documents/proof: (i) Passport of foreign country indicating the place of birth of the applicant in India. (ii) Any other documents satisfactorily proving the residence /nationality as an Indian e.g revenue records/domicile certificate/school/college leaving certificates etc. 2. P.I.O Card fee of US$340.00; payable by a Bank Draft in favour of “High Commission of India”. 3. Four recent passport size photographs, two of them should be attested by a Doctor, Justice of Peace or solicitor and bear the stamp of the attesting – person. 4. Attested Copy of valid passport 5.
