More Info
Dear Student If you are entering the second or final year of your degree programme in September 2009 you will be required to choose your 2009/10 optional courses via the Student System (Campus Solutions). The system will open on 20 July 2009 and remain open until October apart from one week at the end of July when the system will be closed for technical maintenance (from 4pm on 31 July until Monday 10 August). Please see below for specific deadlines for course unit selection in each semester. You will be able to choose both lectures and related classes (seminars, tutorials, and workshops) at this time. For mandatory course units, you will be automatically enrolled onto the lecture and a holding related class. You must use the edit facility to move yourself out of the holding class and into a timetabled class. Essential Guides – All available on the Undergraduate Intranet 1. A step by step guide to choosing your optional courses via the Student System. 2. All options information provided at Options Meetings in May and Programme Regulations. 3. Timetables for 2009/10. 4. The on-line Course Unit Directory contains all course information such as aims, objectives, course content and assessment methods. Please refer to this database before making your choice. As the database covers all Schools in the Faculty of Humanities, you can refer to it for courses owned by other Schools within Humanities such as Arts, Histories and Cultures and Manchester Business School. Reminders


It is your responsibility to choose course units that are within your programme structure and that you have the pre-requisite for. Remember to check that your choices do not cause a timetable clash. Remember that some course units from other Schools have quotas and you will need to enrol onto these courses as soon as you can to secure a place. After the first two weeks of semester one, the Student System will close for changes to semester one and full year courses. After the first two weeks of semester two, the Student System will close for changes to all course units.
