We will be building our 3 centerpieces for the Department 56 Dinner in Frankenmuth in June. Please bring any items you wish to donate and any items we can use for putting our centerpieces together - like extra styrofoam (small), trees, scenery stuff. Decorating items, glue gun, scissors, foam cutter (if needed). Our centerpieces do not have to be elaborate. We will also put together our 30 giveaways. We have 10 ice cubes, 10 note cards and 10 mugs. Please R.S.V.P. to Chris Speedie via email email@example.com or phone her at (734) 675-8528 by May 15th so we will know how many to expect for setting up tables and chairs. You will need to bring a dish to pass. Chris has plates, plasticware and cups. There is a coffee pot, oven, microwave and refrigerator. A map to Bretton Village Clubhouse is below. If you need further directions, please call Chris at (734) 675-8528. I think most of you have been there before. It is right off King Road on Camelot. Parking is at a minimum, You can park on the street, on either side, do not park in any of the cul-de-sac or numbered spaces, and there is a small parking area (on the south side) next to the clubhouse. We are looking forward to sharing with good friends, building a great centerpiece and enjoying good food. I apologize for the lateness in this newsletter, I have been VERY BUSY at work. So please R.S.V.P. as soon as you receive this newsletter. Thank you! OLD NEWS WHAT: WHEN: WHERE: April Club Meeting Sunday, April 27, 2008 Crafts 2000 in Monroe 15 members attended this luncheon. In attendance were: Carolyn Cameron, Carolyn Cron, Lynn & Ray Carpenter, Loretta Feroni, Ed & Wanda Hildner, Phyl & Ken Long, Carol Olgren, Ruth & Bill Riedeman, Trish Rochowiak, Chris Speedie and Martha Sullivan. Members brought a little something to eat and Chris brought in a 3 foot sub sandwich. We ate lunch and then started crafting. A big thank you goes out to Ken Long and Loretta Feroni who planned this excellent and fun event. We discussed the Frankenmuth Dinner in June and the NCC Convenion the next week after that. Chris Speedie Acting Secretary NCC UPDATE Chris has received order forms for the new exclusive NCC House. It is called the NCC Traders Pin Shop. You can see it at the NCC Convenion if you are attending or at the NCC website www.ncc56.com BUT individuals can not purchase it. Like all other NCC houses, it must be purchased in a group and paid for with a club check. Chris will bring the order forms to the May Meeting to see if anyone wishes to order early and have who ever is attending pick up the houses at the NCC Convenion. Otherwise, we can wait and order them for a couple of months to give everyone a chance to order and send in one order form and they will ship them all to one address.
