I have been fortunate enough to enjoy over five years' successfully recruiting across the Occupational Pensions industry. Having spent 3 years working in the industry itself before moving into recruitment I gained invaluable experience in Pensions Administration with exposure to in-house pension departments, third party administration providers and consultancy environments and am able to draw on direct, personal experience and an understanding of working in a Pensions capacity. I have been working as part of the Sammons Pensions Recruitment team since 2002 and specialise in recruiting for in-house and third party occupational opportunities from Junior Pensions Administrator through to Deputy Pensions Manager positions, across the UK. I thoroughly enjoy working on a variety of roles and, as part of the in-house recruitment team, have been continuing to build on our expertise in this area with an enviable database of clients and candidates. With a keen interest in IT, I have also had the opportunity to head up the Pensions IT Recruitment specialist sector, recruiting across in-house, third party and consultancy from junior through to senior level appointments. As Deputy Manager of the Pensions Recruitment team I support Sarah who heads up the department and mentor junior members of staff. I enjoy taking on key projects to support in our continuing division expansion, whilst ensuring that ongoing processes are always kept up to date. We have a great working environment and have a very good team, who enjoy working together and socialising, which is probably why I couldn't see myself working anywhere else. Outside of work I try to keep active and play netball for Sanders Netball Club in their Basildon League mid week and Southend League on a Saturday. I also play for Butterfields Bank in a lunch time league in the city. I also like to travel and have been inter railing around Europe whilst a student and spent time travelling in Thailand and Hong Kong. I still try to make the most of annual leave, and like to go far and wide and see as many different places as possible. I have been to Asia, America, Far East, Europe and the Middle East.
