Terms and Conditions
When you purchase a course, you are buying attendance at particular times on days that are specified for that course. Exceptions are make-up classes during the same Term for missed classes, or any other sessions by prior arrangement. Your enrolment is subject to the following terms and conditions: Due to the small size of classrooms, we can only hold a student's place in a course upon receipt of enrolment form and full payment of fees. Places in a course are held strictly in order of receipt of above. Customer Service Policy: If for any reason we are unable to provide the service described, (eg. cancellation of class due to insufficient numbers) we will notify you within 2 business days to arrange an alternative time or make arrangements for a full refund. Refunds: No refunds will be given after the Monday of the week of commencement of Term except if numbers are insufficient to proceed with a course, in which case a full refund will be given. No refund will be given to students who miss classes, start the course late or leave a course before the end of the Term. It is a student’s right and responsibility to attend the number of classes for a given course. Where a student knows that a class will be missed due to prior engagements, we will do our best assist in the make–up of that class by telephone, email, or a replacement class where available. No refunds can be issued for texts after they have been collected. Withdrawals: Withdrawal from a course if made before 5pm Friday in the week preceding commencement of Term will incur an administrative fee of 10% of the fee that has been paid. No refund will be given to students who withdraw after the Monday of the week of commencement of Term. Transfers: A course transfer to a later Term may be considered in the first two weeks of Term if a student is forced to withdraw due to extreme circumstances. The student must apply in writing (or email) and present a doctor’s certificate if applicable. Upon re-enrolment, an administrative fee of 20% of the current undiscounted course fee will apply. No transfers under any circumstances will be considered after week 2. Missed classes: Missed classes may be made up by attending another class during the same Term at no extra charge. Please contact the office or inform teachers. Public Holidays: No classes will be held on the following public holidays: Good Friday 2 April, Easter Saturday 3 April and Easter Monday 5 April and Melbourne Cup Day Tuesday 2 November, 2010. Extra homework is provided for those missed classes however students may attend another during that week, or in any other week of the Term. Please note that there may be extra classes added to the timetable for the lost Monday classes. Small classes: El Patio’s classes are small with a maximum of 12 students and a minimum of 5 students are required for a class to go ahead. There are options for the class to run if the number is smaller, for example a shorter Term of 8 weeks. This would be negotiated should the situation arise. Payment of fees by EFT (internet banking): EFT payments are made from a student’s own bank website, usually as a Pay Anyone option. El Patio’s bank details are below. When making a payment please insert your name as reference so we can identify you. We then ask that you cut and paste the transfer details, and email us advising that you have made the payment, with a completed enrolment form attached. The enrolment form may be obtained from our website on the Enrol page. Alternatively the completed enrolment form may be sent by post. We will send you two confirmations – the first upon receipt of payment advice and enrolment form, the second once the funds have been received to our account. Textbooks are available at El Patio, so the amount for texts may be included in the EFT payment, or they may be purchased on the first day of class. Multiple Terms (courses): If a student purchases multiple courses, the above terms and conditions apply regarding transfers and withdrawals of the initial Term of the multiples purchased. If the student has a change of mind regarding the subsequent Term(s), a withdrawal may be made with a refund calculated as follows: the total amount paid, less the current undiscounted course fee, less a $15.00 administrative fee per Term withdrawn.
