The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth has launched a Facebook fan page! Search YMCA of Fort Worth to visit the page, and click “Become a Fan” to get up-to-date information of the Y’s activities and upcoming events. Summer Day Camp Our YMCA Day Camp offers campers a day full of “typical” camping activities including swimming four times a week and exciting field trips. Our camp is licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and held indoors and outdoors. June 8-August 21 Members: $110/week Non-members: $150/week Benbrook residents receive 10% off. We want your books! Donate your used books, music and movies for our annual Book Fair in October. Our Book Fair benefits the Step Up for Kids scholarship program. Get Fit Benbrook! The YMCA and the City of Benbrook have partnered on a weight loss initiative. The goal is for citizens to collectively lose 2,000 pounds in 2009. Go to www.getfitbenbrook.com to register! Birthday Parties at the YMCA! Have your child’s next birthday party at the YMCA. Rent the pool and the conference room for 2 hours for up to 25 kids starting at $150. Did You Know the YMCA Offers CPR & First Aid Classes? Saturday, August 1, 2009 CPR/AED class 9:00 am-12:00 pm Learn the skills necessary to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use an automated external defibrillator. This certification is through the American Safety and Health Institute and is valid for 2 years. This class is good for child care workers, babysitters, teachers, or anyone that works in a public setting. Member: $40 Non-Member: $50 First Aid 12:30 – 3:30 pm Learn basic first aid skills in case of an emergency. This certification is through the American Safety and Health Institute and is valid for 3 years. This class is good for child care workers, babysitters, teachers, or anyone that works in a public setting. Members: $30 Non-Member: $40
