Other functionality

Undo Process Macro (see Appendix 6 of documentation for more information) The results of the processing macro can be partially undone by running the "Undo Process" macro. Then, type "CTRL-SHIFT-U" ('U' for 'Undo') from any worksheet to start the "Undo Process" macro.

Instructions for use of this spreadsheet Basic run instructions (From Section 3 of the documentation) Switch to the Configuration worksheet.Make sure all the configuration parameters specified there are set Open the processing folder, defined by cell B4 of the Configuration worksheet, and check to make sure that the source and cropped image files you wish to process and upload are located there. Type "CTRL-SHIFT-R" ('R' for 'Reset') to clear all existing data from the Large, Small, and Errors worksheets. This command can be invoked from any worksheet, and will clear the data from all three of the above worksheets. Do not attempt to clear data manually as this may cause the Mimsy Media Uploader to try to upload Type "CTRL-SHIFT-P" ('P' for 'Process') to start the processing macro. This command can be invoked from any worksheet, although you may wish to invoke it from the Large or Small worksheet in order to monitor the progress of the macro. During processing, resized images will be created, files moved to their correct file When the processing macro is almost complete, a "Save As..." dialog box will appear. Use the default save name, unless this is the not the first time running the macro today, in which case slightly modify the default filename to prevent overwriting the spreadsheets created by previous runs. Do not try to modify or write over the When a pop-up window appears with the text "Image Processing macro complete", the image processing macro is complete. If there were errors during processing, this pop-up window message will say so. Click "OK" to clear the pop-up window and then switch to the Errors worksheet to check the errors. See Section 5 of the Click "OK" to clear the pop-up window if there are no errors. Upload the Large and Small worksheets to Mimsy using the Media Uploader. See Section 4 of the Error messages The Errors worksheet contains error messages generated by the processing macro. If there were errors in the Configuration worksheet, the processing macro will end very quickly. The field and type of error in the Configuration worksheet will be listed in row 3. The second row of the Errors worksheet contains the full path of the work folder that was processed. The source file and the cropped file related to the error in question should still be located in that folder. The following rows contain the source file name that generated an error in column A, and a brief description of the error in column B. See the main documentation for how to solve various errors. Other functionality If you disable both access and thumbnail image generation by setting both their long pixel dimensions to zero (cells B8 & B9 in the Configuration worksheet), the processing script will simply validate the image file names in the work directory. No resized images will be created, and no files will be moved. Files with names that do not conform to the CHM naming schema for physical object images will be listed in the Errors worksheet. Also a file Undo Process Macro (see Appendix 6 of documentation for more information) The results of the processing macro can be partially undone by running the "Undo Process" macro. First, copy rows from the Large or Small worksheets (not both) that contain the metadata for the files you wish to Then, type "CTRL-SHIFT-U" ('U' for 'Undo') from any worksheet to start the "Undo Process" macro. Only those files listed in the Undo worksheet will be undone. The source image files will be copied to the folder specified in cell B15 of the Configuration worksheet. The access and thumbnail files will be deleted.
