More Info
After School Arts Program Fall 2009 General:
Classes for students ages 5-8: Tuesdays, 4-5:30 p.m. Classes for students ages 9-13: Thursdays, 4-5:30 p.m. Each session is one month in duration and meets for four class periods.

Classes are limited to 10 students each—pre-registration is strongly recommended! Spaces in each session will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Spaces cannot be reserved or held for any reason without full payment and registration. If a session is not filled in pre-registration, students may register at the beginning of the first class of the session. Students may register as late as the second class of the session if the session is not full—full tuition and fees must still be paid for late registration. Registration after the second class period is not permitted. Classes that fail to enroll at least three students will be canceled.

Students will explore a different medium or art form each month, and will learn about art history and practicing artists that correspond with the month’s lessons. Topics for sessions will include painting, drawing, photography, pottery, collage, and more.

Tuition and fees:
The cost of the class is $35 per student per session, plus a $10 materials and usage fee per student per session ($45 total fees). Some need-based scholarships are available— please contact the Center for details and availability. All fees are due at the time of registration to ensure the student’s seat in the class. Except in the case of session cancellation by the Artisan Center or other special circumstances, all fees are non-refundable. Fees will not be refunded in full or part for classes missed by students in any given session, and session fees will not be prorated or discounted for students who begin a session late or miss classes during a session.

For Parents and Students:
Parents must sign their child in at the beginning of each class and sign their child out upon leaving at the end of class—this ensures the safety of our students and helps teachers keep track of the roll.

Classes begin promptly at 4 p.m. and end at 5:30 p.m.—please make sure to bring your child on time or a few minutes early so that they won’t miss out on the day’s activities, and always pick them up on time so that teachers can close up the building. Students are expected to assist in cleaning up at the end of each class, and to be respectful of the building and its other occupants.
