SETTING GOALS: WHERE DO YOU WANT TO GO?
What are your learning goals for the course? Ideally, what would you like your students to get out of your course? In other words, what do you want them to know and be able to do as a result of the course and your teaching? Some possibilities might include: 

Foundational Knowledge Application

“Understanding” key content: facts, principles, concepts, etc.



Improved thinking skills, other skills [physical and intellectual], ability to manage complex projects Ability to connect ideas, information, realms of life, etc. Understand the personal and social implications of your subject Make changes in feelings, interests, and/or values related to the subject Learn how to keep learning after the course is over


