3/7/08 – 17/4/09 Senior IT Project Manager AXA Insurance  Delivered the infrastructure, Interwoven/Autonomy content management system, design, information architecture, and content for the new AXA PPP Healthcare website. Delivered infrastructure despite organisational challenges – five locations, three organisations, and document approvals requiring thirty signatures. Integrated new site and CMS with the existing e-commerce solution. Liaised directly with internal clients and business sponsors, managed the requirements gathering phase, build, testing, and deployment. Mentored graduate trainee. 15/10/07 – 22/5/08 Senior Project Manager Sift Software  Delivered Drupal/PHP-based websites/online communities, CMS, and Web 2.0 tools such as forums, blogs, and user management, integrating these with the client's online services for VSO, Centaur Publishing, William Reed Publishing, and IOM3. Delivered a remote networked client demonstration despite technical difficulties – a brand new platform for the developers and intermittent network issues. Mentored junior project managers and managed third-party developers. 10/7/07 – 28/09/07 Senior Project Manager Tribal DDB  Managed the production of the Retailers section of www.vw.co.uk for Volkswagen. I co-ordinated the work of Java developers, xHTML coders, information architects, and graphic designers to rebuild Volkswagen UK’s retailer web presence.  I liaised directly with the client and a third party eGM to enable my teams to construct a real-time test drive booking service, a dealer-updatable news and events database complete with hosting and presentation layer, and a finance deal calculator connected live to VW finance. 20/11/06 – 9/3/07 Senior Web Project Manager Sky Online (BSkyB Ltd.)  Managed the design and production of the client-side CMS (Vignette) xHTML templates, Vignette development, and the monthly release of functionality and content on www.sky.com for a total budget of £1.4m. This includes the incorporation of Google email, calendar, and search tools and the SkyAnytime video-on-demand application for PC and Mobile platforms.  Liaising with the Head of Sky.com, Head of Internet Products and Services, Design Manager, Technical Project Manager, and third-party developers to deliver the XHTML templates, content, and external applications suppliers such as Google.  Planning resource requirements and monitoring the designer/developers' time to keep releases on schedule.  Compiled and managed the overall project plan.  Provided project management advice across Sky Online. 24/4/06 – 22/9/06 Senior Project Manager e3 Media Ltd.  Managed the concept design, online-application system/management tool - specification and build, (e3)CMS content population, and photographic production for the relaunch of FirstPlus.co.uk to coincide with the above-the-line advertising campaign.  Managed the TriumphMotorcycles.com programme of projects including the Dealer Mapping/Routefinder application released over twenty country specific sites.  Planned resourcing and monitored the designer/developers' time to keep the project on schedule.

4/02/02 - 7/02/03 Senior Project Manager Complete New Media Ltd.  Responsible for the financial, resource, technical, and quality management of the T-Mobile e-commerce consumer site, extranet, and ancillary websites, a team of seventeen people, and an annual budget of £2m.  Liaised with the stakeholders, gathered their requirements, defined the overall business requirements, and defined the project scope.  Managed and coached two PMs, co-ordinated leave, negotiated salaries, and conducted appraisals.  Produced proposals/statements of work, project initiation documents, functional specifications, and test and project plans. I also provided cost and contingency estimates.  Monitored developers' time to keep projects in budget and managed Java/J2EE testing.  Managed the full project lifecycle of the rebuilding and rebranding of www.one2one.co.uk to www.tmobile.co.uk, and strategic.t-mobile.co.uk for the MMS partnership between O2, Vodafone, and T-Mobile. Despite tight timescales both projects were delivered on time for business-wide changes.  Planned and controlled other projects that extended the sites' functionality and helped T-Mobile UK to be the most profitable part of the T-Mobile group.  Co-ordinated the delivery and integration of design and code from three third-party agencies, enabling the smooth delivery and release of each project.  Managed the SLA, Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, and Change Requests, and addressed them directly with the client, providing full project reports. 23/4/01 - 26/10/01 Senior Project Manager Victoria Real Ltd.  Managed the £0.5m rebuild of Camelot's National Lottery site and a team of twenty-three designers, information architects, and developers, using XML, Java/J2EE, Websphere, and Interwoven.  Involved in each project stage from engagement, requirements gathering, scope definition, design and functional specification, writing the project initiation document, estimating the cost, producing the project plan, to supervising production, testing, and delivery.  Co-ordinated multiple external suppliers enabling the smooth progress of the project.  Rebuilt PizzaHut.co.uk and an online ordering system integrated with Pizza Hut's legacy systems. 7/2/00 - 1/2/01 Head of Project Management DNA Consulting Ltd.  Supervised three project managers. Conducted staff appraisals, salary reviews, and controlled leave.  Managed the full project lifecycle of E-commerce, Web, and iDTV projects for Castrol (2001 BIMA awards nominee), Royal & SunAlliance, Cheltenham and Gloucester Building Society (LloydsTSB) and others. Both Castrol and Royal & SunAlliance showed a £40k surplus in addition to their profit.  Provided business analysis for the requirements definition and functional specification of Kenco's B2B site.  Projects required the integration of HTML with other technologies such as ASP, JSP, Java, and Perl.  Liaised with other Heads of departments on management, HR, training, and resource issues.  Created a standard costing guide and project plan, shortening production time, and increasing efficiency.  Supervised the QA processes guaranteeing all graphics, code, and copy were to the highest quality.  Personally contributed graphics, code, or copy when necessary, enabling deadlines to be met despite temporary resource shortages. 1/7/99 - 6/1/00 New Media Consultant/Project Manager Freelance  Designed/developed the interface for Oracle’s B2B Intranet creation site for Perception Digital Media.  At Atticmedia I managed the production of websites for Comet, the BBC, and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.  Trained designers in “design for the web” and Dreamweaver skills for Diversity Creative Solutions.  Consultant to the Paper White Partnership on the CDROM “British Contemporary Furniture Design Virtual Showroom”. I conducted detailed market research, developed upgrading and re-branding strategies, and built a prototype search engine to which I applied formal usability testing. 1990 - 30/6/99 Principal Design Engineer/Project Manager Islington Council  Developed project-estimating software in Microsoft Access replacing the paper-based legacy system.  Design, supervision and financial management of major environmental engineering contracts.  Managed the installation of the Local Area Network using the PRINCE 2 methodology.  Trained ten people to update the GIS mapping database.
