What we expect from the teachers who visit. Please only bring teachers and helpers who are enthusiastic about supporting your children for the week. It is important that teachers support the centre staff during activities even though we may take the lead. We need support to engage the children and enthuse them to learn in the outdoor environment in all weathers! All group members’ mush vacate the buildings between 10 am and 12am each morning to allow for cleaning. If visiting teachers are having a break during the week you have access to your room and the staff room for you to rest and recuperate! If staffing allows the more visiting staff you can bring the better. This will enable you to take break sessions throughout the week and share duty cover of children’s free time. The centre staff are responsible for the content, safety and delivery of the activities and we all have different teaching styles and interests. Often each member of staff places emphasis on different areas of each activity so if you have particular requirements from a session please check the planner and let the member of staff leading the session know beforehand. If at any time you have an issue with an activity or member of staff please ensure the centre manager is made aware of the details. We need you to support the children to arrive on time to all activities and meals in order not to impact on other members of centre staff. Please ensure the children follow our site rules which they will be made aware of when they arrive, such as keeping the buildings clean and tidy. What you can expect from us. We will endeavour, with your help to deliver quality experiences to the children who visit. We are enthusiastic and work hard to create a positive and fun atmosphere for learning and will support all children to challenge themselves and gain valuable life experience. We will be open to advice and we are as flexible as possible in terms of activities and what you really want to achieve from the week. All staff aim to provide a clean and safe environment, be approachable and supportive to all the children and teachers who stay with us at the centre.
