Mandattiden för den nya nämnden är från första januari 2007 till sista december 2009. Vi i valberedningen har samtalat med många personer i den tekniska fakulteten vid våra institutioner, samt med ledamöterna i dagens fakultetsnämnd. Vid samtalen har många kompetenta personer föreslagits. Vi har också samrått med valberedningarna för FFN, SNL, universitetsstyrelsen samt med rektor enligt valföreskrifterna. Efter att ha tagit hänsyn till att nämndens representanter på ett bra sätt bör täcka in våra verksamhetsområden, representera såväl män som kvinnor, ha en rimlig åldersspridning samt engagera nya personer i arbetet, så har vi kommit fram till att nedanstående personer bäst svarar upp emot de krav och förväntningar som fakulteten gett uttryck för. Efter disputationen 1998 blev jag anställd som forskarassistent och utförde på uppdrag av Norrbottens läns landsting en utvärdering av vård- och arbetsorganisationen vid Sunderby sjukhus. Parallellt med detta arbetade jag under hösten 1999 som prefekt vid Institutionen för arbetsvetenskap, eftersom den dåvarande prefekten vistades utomlands. Vid hans hemkomst blev jag proprefekt och koordinator för forskarutbildningen vid institutionen och sedan utnämnd till prefekt i januari 2001.
