					Personally For You Invitations & Accessories 59 Setter Hill Circle Madison, WI 53717-2704 Marjie Gibson Owner 2005 Honorable Mention / 1-10 Employee Category Marjie Gibson, owner of Personally For You Invitations & Accessories, has one motto: No order is complete until the client is 100-percent satisfied. It’s a philosophy that has served her well, since this is her second year in a row that she’s been recognized as a finalist in the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Business Ethics and Integrity. Last year, she won in the 1-10 employee category. To Gibson, it means that her business has come full circle from “that first year, when I was scared to death.” She’d been managing another shop that sold invitations and stationery, but was frustrated that clients weren’t getting enough personal service. So, in 1995, she opened “Personally For You.” She helps clients navigate through the process of choosing fonts, paper stocks and colors. More importantly, she does all the worrying so her clients don’t have to. “Planning a wedding is stressful enough,” Gibson said. “My job is to alleviate some of that stress.” Since launching a website in 2001, her business has more than doubled. Gibson attributes this, in part, to customer satisfaction and her number of referrals. She wants customers to walk away so happy with their service that they’d recommend her to a friend, or they’d use her again for the next big event in their lives – birth, christening, bar mitzvah, graduation or anniversary announcements. While superior customer service is one reason that customers are drawn to Personally For You, another is a discount from retail prices. She’ll also give discounts in situations where one of her vendors has made a mistake. Even though it might not be her fault, she’s not happy until her customer is happy. Her reputation for customer satisfaction has spread. Because of her website, she now has customers across the country, from Tennessee to Pennsylvania. She even gets customers locally who went elsewhere first and now come to her desperate for help. One recent customer needed wedding programs in two weeks, and she came to Personally For You in a panic. If anyone could get it done, Gibson could.
