29 August 2007 Kia Ora Koutou www.warkworth.school.nz Virtue The virtue this fortnight is justice. Justice is about being fair. Fairness doesn’t involve winning and losing, it involves solving problems so there isn’t a loser. Justice also means standing up for what is right. For example, looking the other way, or worse joining in bullying is not justice. Saying, “No I won’t take part in that,” and telling someone who can help is justice. Sometimes that isn’t easy to do, sometimes it puts you on your own. ICAS Results We have had some stunning ICAS results from the children who sat tests this year. We would like to congratulate all those children. We know that children’s education is a result of the work put in by the children themselves, their parents and families, sometimes others too and not just their teachers. Everyone who has contributed to the latest results can take a bow and a round of applause, but most especially the children.
