LET’S MAKE THIS THE BEST CHRISTMAS EVER FOR OUR HEROES. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO FILL 20,000 STOCKINGS TO SEND TO IRAQ & AFGHANISTAN.
We have put together a list of items for our stockings. Please stuff stockings from these suggestions (makes it a lot easier filling out customs forms and ensures that each military person gets a stocking of equal value). Spending $20 - $25 for each stocking makes a very nice gift!! Size: If you are filling stockings as a group project 13”-16” is fine, if you are individuals and want to do 16”-19”, just add more items Material: Red felt, or any other Christmas material that that will hold up during shipping. Food: Chocolate Christmas Candy, Candy canes or red/white mints, Hot Chocolate, Hot Apple Cider mix, Slim Jims, gummy anything, Twizzlers, chewing gum, Trail mix, nuts, dried fruit, Life Savers Games: Yo-Yo’s, small vinyl/nerf/novelty balls, Hacky-Sacs, playing cards Make a $ Donation Travel Toiletries: Tooth brush & Toothpaste travel pack, wet wipes, hand sanitizers, chap stick, tissues Fill A Stocking Clothing: Black or White crew socks size L and XL (always needed by our troops) Other: (optional) Phone cards - AT&T 120 minute (minimum) They love & need phone cards!!!!, AA & AAA Batteries Remember to add a personalized note to the stocking – Reading uplifting notes and letters from folks back home is the high light of their day!!! Instructions: Fill stocking to the top with items listed above. Make sure all items fit inside the stocking. Slip stitch or safety pin top closed to prevent items from falling out during shipping. Please help Boatsie’s Boxes with shipping costs by placing $1 in an envelope labeled “Boatsie’s Boxes – Shipping”, and attach to the outside of the stocking. Return stockings to Boatsie’s Boxes by Monday, November 10, 2008. .
