					FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT IN LEGAL SERVICES: FOR ALL PROGRAMS, NOT JUST LSC GRANTEES December 5 - 8, 2007 San Francisco, CA GERRY SINGSEN Management Consultant and Former LSC Vice President for Finance and Management and JUDY ARRIGO Accounting Consultant to Legal Services Programs and Former CRLA Comptroller This program covers the areas you need to manage the finances of your legal services program, whether you are LSC, IOLTA or government funded. It prepares you on the LSC Accounting and Audit Guides and OMB Circulars A-110, A-122 and A-133. It reviews compliance issues for LSC, HUD, Title III and DOJ. Regularly updated, it has met the needs of a thousand legal services Executive Directors, Financial Officers, Administrators and other managers since 1985. The intensive, three-day training (Wednesday to Friday) provides up-to-the-minute, comprehensive information for financial management in legal services, including the basic rules, the proven management techniques and interpretations of regulations, Guides and standards. Once again, we also offer, just for LSC grantees, a Saturday morning seminar going into much greater detail on the many unique LSC regulations with financial management elements, such as PAI, fund balances, subgrants, program integrity, alien representation, lobbying, questioned costs and the grant assurances. Major topics covered during the first three days include budgeting, grant planning, allocations and time records, property management, grant conditions, restrictions on fund use, OMB rules, internal controls, multiple funding sources, accounting software, grant reporting, management reports, audits and compliance supplements.
