									The Department of Computer Science at the Innsbruck University School of Mathematics,
Computer Science and Physics invites applications for the position of

                                   University Professor of

                                 COMPUTER SCIENCE
                                         with focus on
                                   Intelligent Systems
In case of a first-time appointment the contract will at first be limited to six years. After a
positive evaluation it will become unlimited. In all other cases the employment can be
unlimited from the outset.

Responsibilities include:

The chair-holder is to represent the subject of “Computer Science” in research and teaching
with a focus on at least one of the following areas:

•   Machine learning
•   Speech recognition and processing
•   Planning and scheduling
•   Pattern recognition and image understanding
•   Genetic algorithms
•   Intelligent computer graphics
•   Autonomous mobile systems
•   Multi-agent systems
•   Location-sensitive systems

Eligibility Requirements include:

A pertinent degree in higher education, a pertinent habilitation or equivalent qualification (e.g.
like senior lecturer or associate professor), publications in at least one of the areas of
Intelligent Systems in leading international peer-reviewed journals and relevant conference
papers, superior teaching skills, experience in acquiring external research funds and ideally,
pertinent experience abroad.
