These are going well. Make sure you read further for the next lot of Theme Nites.

The Monthly Discos
See Diary Dates for the discos in 2007! This is a “non-profit” making event organised by volunteers at the request of our service users. This means that all carers who stay should also be paying £2. We realise there has been some confusion over recent months, but if this event is to continue we need to charge for all attendees. With the profits we hope to book a live band for our Christmas Party on 11th December.

Weds, 4th April “Easter Coffee Morning, Easter Bonnet Parade and Competition” 10am – 12 noon admission 50p to include refreshments Weds, 4th April Easter Egg Hunt and Bonnet Competition Theme Nite for people staying at Baytree House. This course will be helpful to anyone interested in living independently. Please contact your Care Manager to be referred for this service. Holiday Activity Club This Club is for service users whilst on holiday from college. The dates are 26 – 30th March and 2 – 20th July, 9.30am – 4pm. A packed lunch is needed every day; £6 is asked for daily, but will be refunded if not used. Transport is not provided to and from Baytree House.

We have been granted funding of £200 from PPI and have booked an Animal Encounter with Really Wild Encounters. Some of you may remember Neil brought his animals to a Drop-In session about 5 years ago and everyone really enjoyed the evening! The event will take place at Baytree House on Sat, 19th May starting at 5.30pm. We plan to have 1 hour when you will be able to have your say on the services we provide, followed by Hot Dogs and then the Show. Recycle your cartridges and help answer a distressed child’s call
By returning your used cartridges, you will help raise funds for ChildLine, the UK’s free 24- hour helpline for children in danger or distress. £1 will be donated to Childline for every recyclable cartridge received. Chris Jolley is the third police cadet to be on placement with us. He has been helping to make Valentine’s cards, attending meetings, joining in with the Theme Nite and visiting the day centres in an endeavour to understand the work we do and integration with the local community. Chris said, “I’ve loved my time here and will miss everyone.” We wish Chris well in his chosen career.

St Valentine’s Theme Nite Everyone helped to decorate the house over the weekend with paper hearts, red roses and drawings ready for 14th February.
