We will be accepting holiday gift donations of snack food (no pork products), beef jerky, individual drink mixes, paperback books, DVD’s, letters, cards, batteries, and puzzle books to send to our Military stationed in the War Zone. We will begin collecting items the weekend of October 31/1. Boxes, idea lists, and custom forms will also be available if you wish to make a whole box and mail it yourself. Each box will cost approximately $13 to mail, so we are looking for donations of money to help offset the mailing costs. We are sponsoring a Respect Life Essay writing contest for all junior high/high school age students whose parents are registered members of Blessed Teresa Parish. Your essay must reach Bob Phelan by Sunday, November 1st, All Saints Day. The winning entries for both junior high and high school will receive $500. CALLING ALL 6-12 GRADERS FOR HALLOWEEN FUN Come help us with the Starlight Foundation annual Halloween event, Trick or Suite, on October 24 to provide Halloween fun to seriously ill children and their families. We are in need of people to help decorate a room at the Embassy Suites in Tukwila from 2-5 pm. Then from 5 -8 pm we will sponsor 1 activity and give away Halloween candy. Clean up will take place from 8-9 pm.
