2007-Present Global Systems Director- Exide Global Procurement/ Strategic Sourcing (Direct & Indirect)  Lead and drive worldwide strategy for Exide’s systems automation for annual spend of over $1.5B as a direct report to the CPO role. In areas of Direct & Indirect commodities, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and supplier diversity initiatives by managing internal and vendor teams.  Manage the automation of procure to pay transaction processing for over 1M documents, utilizing electronic transactional methods to drive cost reductions of over $9M by directing a cross functional team. Led Exide’s AP outsourcing worldwide to low cost operations in Eastern Europe, impacting over 40 employees.  Implemented & led Exide’s e/procurement & reverse auction strategy that yielded savings of over $6 M / year by mentoring & leading cross functional team members globally.

NCR Corp. (NCR & Teradata Corp. pre spin-off) Dayton, OH, and Duluth, GA

2002-2007 Director Global Procurement/Strategic Sourcing – (Indirect Procurement): Software, Networking and Prof. Services  Drove NCR’s worldwide Strategic Sourcing for expenditure of over $250 M. Managed a global sourcing team of commodity managers and tactical purchasing managers in partnership with BU’s. Responsible for team building, leadership & talent development and succession planning. Demonstrated the ability to manage a centralized procurement function to continuously lower total cost of ownership (of >10%) and increasing customer satisfaction. Lead the IT off-shoring/ outsourcing BPO to India and professional services BPO to China.  Globally Managed: Supplier relationships, contract negotiation & supplier performance evaluation (cost, quality, delivery & other SLA metrics). Utilized e-procurement & reverse auctions, low cost region sourcing through spend consolidation and aggregation. Managed SOx compliance for NCR’s procure to pay process.  Implemented and managed best-in-class metrics of DPO & Supplier rationalization to reduce supplier count by about 20%. Improved average DPO to over 52 days from 42 days that resulted in about $7M in incremental cash flow.  Managed spin-off of Teradata Corp. from NCR and strategic acquisitions of retail self service solutions organizations.

Managed & led BU wide direct commodities design to procure efforts as a Lean supply chain expert using Six Sigma tools for a $950M BU, reporting to Sr. VP. Resulted in a cost reduction idea funnel worth over $35M. Achieved cost reductions on direct materials using performance pricing that resulted in over $22M in cost reductions. Increased reverse auction (eRFI/RFP) penetration from $16M to over $80M using e-Procurement tools.

Distressed Supplier Operations Manager, Supplier Management (Revenues of $14M)  Led the implementation of best practice processes using six sigma tools as a Lean Manufacturing expert, resulting in smooth launch for steering column, worth $5 M /year at supplier location. Led continuity management efforts for bankrupt supplier operations worth $9 M and managed 5 supplier engineers and technicians. Engineer,  Managed supply chain to launch electronic printed circuit board-based products, with revenues of $200 M/year as Lead Project Manager.
