HALLOWEEN FAMILY FUN NIGHT Who: All Fairview faculty, students and siblings (all ghosts/goblins must be accompanied by an adult monster) Where: Fairview’s “Spooky” Owl’s Nest When: October 23rd Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We need your assistance and ask for your support to make this year’s Halloween Family Fun Night the spookiest ever! Donations are very much needed for this event. The below information is provided for your consideration. Decorations (borrowed or donated) any type of Halloween decoration would be appreciated (i.e. black and orange balloons or table cloths, wall hangings, Halloween blow up items, etc). We want to make the Owl’s Nest look spooky for the occasion. These items are needed immediately but no later than Oct. 16th, as we need to determine if additional decorations must be purchased. Please mark borrowed items with your name so that they can be returned. Also, committee members are available to pick up items or they can be dropped off at school to the collection box located outside the main office. Snacks/Beverages/Prizes – each class is being asked to donate according to the below list. K and 1st grade: Water/juice boxes/chocolate milk/novelty items to be used for prizes (such as tattoos, or little toys.) 2nd and 3rd grade: Baked goods either homemade or prepackaged such as brownies, cookies, donuts, cupcakes, or rice krispie treats. Please also feel free to send in a healthy alternative snack of veggies cut up in bite size pieces such as mini carrots or celery. 4th grade: Snacks, such as go‐gurt, popcorn, chips, pretzels, goldfish, fruit cups (all individually packaged please.) 5th grade: Paper goods(napkins and small plates) and candy *** To reduce the risk to children with airborne peanut allergies, *** please make all attempts to send in peanut free products. All of your donations are appreciated and leftovers will be used at the Great Race on October 24, 2009! For your convenience, a list of peanut free candy products can be found on our PTO web pages. IMPORTANT DATES: October 16th and October 23rd October 16th, or sooner, all non‐perishable food items, decorations or prizes should be dropped off to the Fairview collection box. Again, we ask that these items be sent in advance of the event so that if additional items are needed we have time to purchase them. October 23rd, after 3p.m., all perishable food items should be dropped off at Fairview. Committee members will be at school from 3p.m to the start of the event accepting food items. “Goodie Bag Exchange” Each ghost/goblin attending is asked to bring a “goodie bag” the night of the event, to exchange with the other ghosts/goblins. Only those who bring a “goodie bag” can participate in the exchange. Please note that food items will be in the hall area and there will be a separate room with peanut free food items. All food is to be consumed in the designated food areas only. Food will not be permitted in the Owl’s Nest. The Owl’s Nest will be where the games and other party activities are held. Please contact Kelly Pezzano at 530‐9324 or Jennifer O’Brien at 741‐8505 if you have any questions or decoration items that need to be picked up. Your generosity is very much appreciated. Thank you.
