OPTIONAL SIGHTSEEING TOURS Hong Kong Island Tour 0830 – 1300 hours Daily This tour is a must for foreign visitors. It includes a visit to Victoria Peak for a panoramic splendor view of the city and Stanley Market which is famous for bargain shopping. It then returns along the coastal line via Repulse Bay and Deep Water Bay to Aberdeen, the floating village for fishermen (sampan ride at Aberdeen will be at optional cost). A stop at a local jewellery factory near Aberdeen offers a chance to look at the fine art and craftsmanship that has made Hong Kong famous in Asia. New Territories Tour 0900 – 1400 hours Touring around the New Territories will surely show you another face of Hong Kong, a rural one, with small villages and peasants working in their farmland. You will be surprised at how remote and undeveloped some parts of New Territories are. Highlights include: visit one of Hong Kong’s most impressive Buddhist monasteries “Cheuk Lam Sim Yuen”. Wishing Tree in Taipo, make your wish come true by writing on coloured papers. Kam Tin Walled Village, built 700 years ago by the Tang Clan. The border lookout of Lok Ma Chau where you can stand on the hill and look across the Shenzhen River. Tsing Ma Lantau Monastery Tour 0830 – 1530 hours A delightful experience and the best way to explore Lantau. Through the fast and scenic drive along the expressway and the Tsing Ma Bridge soon takes you to this unspoilt island. Lantau with its natural beaches, simplistic fishing village, peaceful monastery neighboured by the world’s largest Buddha is an ideal destination of a wonderful day. The tour includes visit through Tsing Ma Bridge to Cheung Sha Beach, Tai-O Fishing Village, and Po Lin Monastery, with a Chinese vegetarian lunch. Macau Day Tour with Lunch 0800 – 1800 hours A 75-minutes Jetfoil, Turbocat or Catamaran ride brings you to Portuguese Macau with visits to Kum Yam Temple, up to Penha Hill for a magnificent view of city, Barrier Gate at the border between Macau and China and the Ruins of St. Paul Cathedral. Catch the first-class train to Shenzhen. Then a brief city tour and discover how Shenzhen is developing. Visit an exhibition of famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, transfer to world famous Lo Wu Shopping Mall to see the stylish boutiques of bargain hunting for Chinese arts and crafts souvenirs. Catch the first class train to Hong Kong. Return to Tsimshatsui District (end of the tour; guests return hotel on their own).
