Wings Cars
Please be advised that we have been notified by Wings Cars Direct that the discount offered by Ford of up to 25% off new and used Fords has been withdrawn for non serving personnel with immediate effect. This will affect the greater majority of our current members. The discount is still available for all serving personnel. The offer of up to 25% off will continue to apply to Vauxhall and now includes Renault. We have been advised that Ford may consider reintroducing the discount later in the year.

Contact with the Royal Air Force
Members will be aware that the Association has now established very close ties with the Royal Air Force at all levels and in all departments. However, if any of our members have any questions they wish to put to the Royal Air Force they should in the first instance send their question to either this Area Headquarters or Central Headquarters who will ensure it is forwarded to the appropriate RAF department.

Accidents Will Happen!
Recently CHQ took a phone call from a somewhat disgruntled RAFALO. He had asked for some exhibition equipment to promote RAFA at his Station Families Day, but on taking the 'RAFA Flying Banner' out of its case he found that two of the poles were broken and bound together with sellotape, making it unusable. Apologies were issued, and we thought we were able to save the day as we had received a Flying Banner back from a Branch earlier that day - however when we opened it to check, one of the poles was broken and bound with parcel tape! Accidents will happen - winds will blow things over or (as in recent weeks) rain can play havoc. We think that there may be a feeling within Branches that if they report that they have broken a banner, display board etc we will be looking to make them pay for repairs - THAT IS NOT THE CASE. We will arrange for any repairs to be made at our expenses, so please, if you do have an accident, please let us know and return the equipment so that we can affect repairs. We would much rather know than send out what turns out to be defective equipment to the next Branch or RAFALO that requests it.

Update on Fundraising Standards Board Logo and Acronym
The Fundraising Standards Board are changing their logo - this won't affect anything we've preprinted to date, we can use up any stocks with the logo on but for any future marketing and external communications - the new logo will need to be used. Please, as a note, always put the FRSB logo on all materials that are pre-printed - i.e. fliers/posters/magazines/mailers etc etc.
