VANCE, PYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL” A heavy set female HOSPITAL ATTENDANT drives to a side door of the remote hospital that is surrounded by a tall chain link fence. She stops her vehicle near the entry door and gets out. The attendant walks a few feet and opens the door to move inside. INT. OKLAHOMA STATE PYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL JOHNNY DICKS, a thirty something fair-haired and athletic built man with wild eyes and cartoon tattoos on his forearms is sneaking down a stark gray hospital hallway. He looks around the hall corner toward the side exit door. A young and sharp looking uniformed SECURITY GUARD stands near the door. Suddenly Dicks jumps the guard. They slam against the wall and wrestle on a desk near the door. The hospital attendant enters the room in the middle of the fight between Dicks and the guard. Dicks takes the guard’s gun and shoots him. The Guard falls to the floor. Dicks turns the gun on the woman and pulls the trigger. The weapon snaps and does not fire. The attendant smiles at her good luck and quickly slams her heavy little body into Dicks. They collide and Dicks goes down to the floor with a thud. She gets down and flips Dicks over. The attendant twists his arm behind his back. Dicks squeals from the pain. He manages to flip over and hit the woman with his fist. (CONTINUED) CONTINUED: She falls to the side and is a little dazed, but manages to hit Dicks harder with her fist when she recovers. Dicks shakes his head and regains his composure. The attendant looks at the wall. She sees a panic alarm button to push for help. Dicks looks at the wall and back at her. She rushes for the button. Dicks moves to cut her off. They collide at the panic button. The tough attendant stretches her arm to push the button. Dicks tries to pull it away. She looks at him with a great deal of stress on her face and suddenly pokes him in the eye. Dicks lets go of her arm to guard his eye and she slams her hand into the button. A yellow light begins to flash and a series of bell alarms go off with a deafening sound. They both recover from their struggle and circle each other looking for an opening. Dicks speaks out over the alarms. DICKS You’re pretty tough for a woman. The attendant is amused and speaks up. HOSPITAL ATTENDANT You’re a pretty big pussy for a guy. She charges Dicks and slams him against the wall. Dicks turns from the powerful attack as she hits him on the back of the head. He grabs a computer screen from the desk and slams it against her head. The attendant falls back on the floor knocked out. Dicks looks down at her. He can hear security people running down the hall. (CONTINUED) CONTINUED: DICKS Dam woman you got a lot of unleashed hostility. You should be in this nut house and me on the street. Dicks picks up her keys from the floor smiling. He then picks up the guard’s pistol and exits the building. Two security people enter the guardroom ready for a fight, but see nothing. They direct their attention to turning off the alarm and taking care of the attendant. CUT TO: EXT.
