Melissa Lokken | Parent Educator Can you believe it? The Family Resource Center has been in our “new location”, at the Oakwood Mall for 3 years. Although
Lita Prorok | MATCh Specialist some found it to be a strange setting for us, it has been a very positive move for FRC. We continue to see new families that
are, “just walking by” every day and our Drop in and Play

MATCh Moment-
The summer months tend to be busy, but sometimes "back to
school" time gets even busier. The kids become consumed with
homework, school projects, extracurricular activities, going to their
friends' houses-to name a few. We as parents, not only have to
tackle our "normal" everyday duties but also take on the duties
of chauffer and school teacher. Although all of these opportunities
are great for our kids, make sure not to forget to take time as a
family. Make sure your kids also have some down time, where they
can relax and not have to worry about a hectic schedule. It is easy to
get caught up in the "have to's" of this world, where our kids are
expected to get straight As, be a superstar at every sport, attend
every club possible. But remember, this can lead to anxiety and
worries about perfection that become more of a hindrance than a
benefit. It also leads us to forget the importance of spending time
together as a family.
