                 Vessel Safety Checks

                  from 8am to 12pm
           Chester Academy Parking Lot


The Vessel Safety Check is a free check of your boat or jetski,
conducted by members of the USCG Auxiliary, to confirm that it
meets both federal and state requirements for safety.

This check is intended to provide information to the owner
regarding safety equipment. No citations are issued. The results
of the safety check are not reported. You will receive a decal
to display if the vessel passes all safety requirements.

Some of the items that will be checked include:

          Personal Flotation Devices (life jackets)
          Registration and numbering
          Navigation lights
          Ventilation
          Fire extinguishers
          Distress signals (flares, horn, etc.)
          Battery cover and connections
