Votes can be cast in two ways: (Please refer to Bylaw 5.6) 1. In Person Voting at AGM (must register 8:30am – 9:15am) Use the AGM Voting Consent Form (below). Each member school is entitled to one vote, and the vote may be cast by the designated representative. The representative must be a teacher or administrator assigned to that school, or employed by that school. Both the school representative and the school principal must sign the AGM Voting Consent Form. 2. Online Voting at time of AGM (must register 9:30am – 10:00am) Instead of voting in person at the AGM on May 10, 2014, you will have the opportunity to vote online in real-time as the meeting is being webcast. A letter will be sent to your school (addressed to the school principal of record) with a PIN and instructions on how to complete the online voting. Each school will be assigned an individual PIN and each PIN can only be used once. Letters will be mailed by Canada Post on April 28. 2014. If you do not receive your letter on or before May 6, 2014, please contact BC School Sports. Please e-mail email@example.com with the subject line “Online Voting Support Request” or phone 604-477-1488. Support will be limited on May 9 and the day of the AGM (May 10). Members will not have the opportunity to cast votes by proxy at the 2014 AGM. Voters must register either in person or online to be able to vote. 7.6 A quorum for the Legislative Assembly will include representation from at least 20% of the voting membership in good standing or representation from 50 Member Schools in good standing, whichever number is greater. At least one (1) registered vote from each of the designated zones of the Society must be present. Votes counted in the quorum are those fully registered thirty (30) minutes prior to the published start time of the general meeting. Quorum for the 2014 AGM requires at least 85 registered voters.
