									Worship Hand Signals
1-3:
           Verses

4:
           Pre-chorus

5:
           Bridge

C:
           Chorus

Pointing to the floor:
           Tag

Open hand
(5 turned sideways):
Repeat a line or section. As you become more familiar
with each song, you will know how much to repeat on
each particular song. Or look for a vocal cue from the
           leader of that song.

2 fingers pressed together
(turned sideways):
We’re going to the next song, usually used when we
medley two songs together or when the next song in the
list overlaps with the current song that we’re on.

Holding and apple:
Band continues to play current chord progression while
vocalists free praise (instead of singing the words)

Pinky in the air:
Instrumental - Band continues to play with no Voices
Fist:
A stop in the middle of a song or this also signals the end
           of a song.

Another signal with a fist:
Such as C – Fist….. voices will sing the chorus while
           instruments stop playing.

Finger circle in the air:
Instruments join back in with the vocalists after a stop.

Pointing to one instrument:
That Instrument alone plays, or if it is after a stop and we
are layering instruments back in rather than everyone
           coming back in together.

Thumbs up:
Signals a key change. Always written in the music

Flat hand pulling down:
Cue to pull down the feel (not the tempo).

Hand motioning “come with me”:
Build it up (again not the tempo)… I’ll have to show you
this one because I have no other way of explaining it 
