students, as well as between

          Questions

n Clearly stated
n Common vocabulary

n Thought provoking

n Properly directed
    Questioning Techniques

n   Encourage students to ask
    questions at any time.
n   Give adequate consideration
    to all questions--never evade
    a question.
n   Use “APPLE”.
n   Scatter questions over the
    entire class.

n   Pose questions within the
    ability of the student to
    whom the question is
    addressed.
n   Ask questions of the
    inattentive.
n   Require students to give
    complete answers.

n   Do not permit frequent group
    responses.
n   Ask open-ended questions
n   Avoid asking questions that
    can be answered by
    guessing.
n   Use the key words of
    questioning--how, why,
    when, where, what, which.
