The Meeting was brought to order by President Roman Karwowski at 7:30 pm. 16 clubs/1 associate club in attendance. Treasurer’s report: Debits January and Feb. - $4280.19 Balance - $29,376.19 Secretary’s Report: Previous months’ minutes were approved with corrections made: Washtenaw Club not in Default. Carnival: The MDSC Carnival is out of existence because Josh Lohman informed the ski council that Boyne Mt. made a decision to run it themselves. They stated it was for “legal reasons.” Boyne Mt’s decision ends a partnership between the MDSC and Boyne MT that started in 1973 and has been promoted and built up by the MDSC. Boyne Mt. offered to the MDSC some door prizes which the MDSC may give away in a raffle or drawing and would allow us to operate the trophy room on Friday night as we have done so in the past. Per Josh Lohman the Friday night party was always operated at a loss as opposed to the Saturday night party which Boyne Mt will now run themselves. Boyne Mt. Also was willing to give one complimentary package for every 50 paid club guests. At the MDSC meeting held March 4, 2003 the council voted to decline the above-mentioned offer.
