Sugarhouses in northeastern Connecticut and south-central Massachusetts have created special tours and demonstrations. Area restaurants will showcase their culinary favorites infusing locally-produced maple syrup, and the region’s accommodations have created themed overnight packages to compliment the event.

Visitors will experience the entire maple sugaring process first-hand, including tree tapping, sap boiling over wood-burning fires, and sampling the purely sweet and natural maple syrup finished product. The folks at the Warren Farm and Sugarhouse in North Brookfield, Massachusetts utilize colonial methods and tools to collect and produce their maple syrup. Their presentation features interesting Native American maple sugaring stories entwined with nature, science and meteorology. The Vienna
