city of enterprising merchants and birthplace of the Renaissance.
Wandering through its streets you will find monuments that bear
witness both to the exceptional cultural and artistic achievements of
the fifteenth century and to the period immediately prior to it, when
Florence, along with its eternal rival Siena, became one of the main
centers of commerce and banking in Europe.

SUNDAY, JUNE 12 – FULL DAY EXCURSION TO VENICE

This morning, we depart Florence for Venice – known always as a
cosmopolitan city, a meeting point between the east and the west, a
crossroads of culture and goods, a place suspended between land and
sea, between present and past. Venice is unique in the world for its
history, which has given life to a
true and proper maze of facades,
                                     bridges and canals, in which
water and light play a key role.
                                     During this guided tour, admire
the Basilica of Saint Mark, with its
                                     marvelous mosaics and countless
other works of art, the most
                                     celebrated Clock Tower, the Ducal
Palace, and the Bridge of Sighs.

cities. Built on three hills, this walled city still looks much as
it did in the Middle Ages. In addition to its delightful
churches and museums, be sure to see the Piazza del
Campo, famous for its large fan-shape and home to the
exciting Palio of Siena horse race, one of the most well-known historic festivals in Italy. You are
