 Plant Cell
   wall
• The Cell wall of the plant
cell is the fairly rigid layer
that surrounds the cell.

• It is located outside the cell
membrane and provides cells
with structural support and
protection, and also acts as a
filtering mechanism

•A major function of the cell
wall is to act as a pressure
vessel, preventing over-
expansion when water enters
the cell
    Plant Cell:
    Chloroplast

•Chloroplasts are organelles
found in plant cells and other
eukaryotic organisms that conduct
photosynthesis

•Chloroplast capture light energy to
conserve free energy in the form of
ATP and reduce NADP to NADPH
through a complex set of processes
called photosynthesis
   How
Chloroplasts
   work

• The purpose of the chloroplast
is to make sugars and starches

• They use a process called
photosynthesis to get the job
done

• Photosynthesis is the process
of a plant using energy from the
sun
