Manor November 2011 Messenger www.Historiccvm.com MISSION OF CVM COMMUNITY GROUP: To serve and maintain the strength and cohesiveness of our community. CAPITOL VIEW MANOR NOMINATED AS HISTORIC SITE Come to the next CVMNA meeting on Tuesday, November 8 and hear from the GA State Historic Preservation staff on the status of Capitol View Manor as a candidate for the National Register of Historic Places. This designation would make our properties eligible for special benefits and incentives. You’ll hear about CVM history and what the designation would mean to each of us. The meeting will be at 7pm at Liberty International Baptist Church, corner of Shannon and Metropolitan, around back and downstairs in the fellowship hall. For information on the Registry, go to: www.georgiashpo.org. Refreshments will be served. HONORING OUR FIREMEN 85th Anniversary! Our local firehouse will be 85 years old December 5, 2011! To honor the firemen and celebrate the Anniversary, the neighbors of CVM will gift house- hold items and necessities as requested by the Firemen. We also plan to provide two dinners during the month of December and are seeking volunteers. If you are interested in joining the effort to honor our firemen on this milestone occasion, please contact Anne Chance at firstname.lastname@example.org or 770-361-7412.
