union. Numerous related events are planned (see www.royals-aus-hannover.de), not least

Travel
The city of Hanover is located at the intersection of north/south (Hamburg-Munich) and
east/west (Berlin-Ruhr cities) motorways and railway lines.
Hanover airport (www.hannover-airport.de) has direct flights to/from many airports, including
Stansted. Travellers passing through HAJ do not have to contend with the long waiting times
experienced at major airports.
Travellers in Germany usually opt for trains run by Deutsche Bahn (www.bahn.de).
The number of intercity bus routes has increased rapidly in the last year, and bus travel is
now a real alternative for anyone travelling to Hanover from a German city. Look at e.g.
www.busliniensuche.de or www.fernbusse.de for info.

Anyone able to spend a few more days in Lower Saxony could visit Celle, Brunswick,
Schloss Marienburg etc. Useful suggestions at: www.germany.travel/royalheritage.
