        A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor and loving memory of Janice

Keene.

        WHEREAS, Janice Keene was a daughter of the Commonwealth, having been born

on February 11, 1940, in Majestic, Kentucky, the cherished daughter of the late Thomas

and Elsie Seale Largent; and

        WHEREAS, Janice Keene was a secretary at Phelps High School and a bookkeeper

for Morris and Marshall Coal Co. and Superior Mining. She also helped in the deli at Jo-

Mart in Phelps for five years; and
        WHEREAS, Janice Keene was a faithful lifetime member of the Majestic Church

of Christ; and

        WHEREAS, Janice Keene departed this earthly life on February 15, 2014, leaving

her family, friends, and an entire community in solemn mourning; and

        WHEREAS, Janice Keene is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Franklin

"Jack" Keene; her children, Stephanie Hall, Steve Keene (Rita), and Jamie Keene

(Angie); her grandchildren, Jordan Hall (Stacey), Jairus Hall (Saranna), Taylor Keene,

Morgan Keene, Jasmine Hall, and Madison Keene; her great-grandchildren, Kyle Hall,

Kendall Hall, and Jairadan Hall; her special nieces and nephews, Macky and Kathy
Norman, James and Geri Hatfield, and Donald and Madonna Lowe; and her special

fiends, Bob and Ruby Fannin, Claude Jr. and Ernestine Sanders, Paul Ray and Marcie

Charles, and Dorothy Justice and Ann Carty;

        NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of

Kentucky:

        Section 1. The members of the Senate hereby express their most profound and

sincere condolences upon the passing of Janice Keene, and extend their heartfelt

condolences to her family in this time of loss.

        Section 2.          When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor and loving

memory of Janice Keene.

        Section 3.          The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this

Resolution to Franklin "Jack" Keene, P.O. Box 328—159 McCoy Caney Road, Phelps,

Kentucky 41553.
