                                        2010 Fall & 2011 Winter Clinic Series

Beginning Pitching: This clinic is designed for 8-12 year olds that have 2 or less years of experience pitching in
games. The focus will be proper pitching mechanics, effectiveness and consistency in throwing strikes, and learning
how to pitch to all quadrants of the strike zone. This combined Beginning / Intermediate Pitching Clinic will
register only 30 pitchers to insure good student-teacher ratio. Cost is $50 for 3 nights of 45 minute of instruction
taught by Rhonda Revelle, assisted by Lori Sippel and Nebraska pitching staff.
Intermediate Pitching: This clinic is designed for the 12-14 year olds that have 5 or less years of experience
pitching in games. (14 year olds who are participating in the High School season cannot participate at this time.)
The focus will be tuning up mechanics, ‘mastering’ the entire strike zone, and learning how to throw and utilize the
CHANGE-UP for successful pitching. This combined Beginning/ Intermediate Pitching Clinic will register only 30
pitchers to insure good student-teacher ratio. Cost is $60 for 3 nights of 1 hour clinic taught by Lori Sippel,
assisted by Rhonda Revelle and Nebraska pitching staff.


Advanced Pitching: This clinic is designed for the 15-18 year olds with 5 or more years of experience pitching in
games. (14 year olds who previously participated with their Varsity High School team may participate in this clinic.)
The focus will be mastering the entire strike zone, using spin and movement pitches to create swings and misses,
strategically using information about hitters, counts, etc. to the pitchers advantage, and the art of breathing and
routines for successful pitching. The clinic will register only 25 pitchers to insure good student-teacher ratio.
Cost is $80 for 3 nights of 1 ¼ hour instruction and ¼ hour of pitching chalk-talk.
Instruction by Lori Sippel, Rhonda Revelle and Nebraska pitching staff.

fundamentals of a consistent, balance swing. This combined Beginning / Intermediate Hitting Clinic will register

nights of 1 hour clinic taught by lead instructor Coach Diane Miller assisted by the Nebraska Softball players.

Holiday “Battery Charger” and Hitting Camps: A Perfect Holiday Gift
Each clinic is designed for those pitchers, catchers and hitters ages 13 years and older who want to take their game
to the next competitive level. Mastering the physical skill of pitching, catching and hitting is not enough! Big Red
Softball is offering an intense single day opportunity for those who are serious about getting the most out of their
softball talent. Each single day clinic is sure to offer the in depth physical and mental training you need to jump
start your competitive preparation going into 2011. This Battery Charger Clinic will register only 50 pitchers and
50 catchers and the Hitting clinic will register the first 100 athletes to ensure a safe working environment and a
good student-teacher ratio. Cost is $95.00 for a single day registration and $180.00 to register for both clinics.
Lead instructors will be Rhonda Revelle, Lori Sippel, Diane Miller, assisted by guest coaches and the Nebraska
Softball players. T-shirt included.

This Beginner Pitching Session is designed for 8-12 year olds that have 2 or less years of experience pitching in
games. The focus will be proper pitching mechanics, learning to throw strikes, and execution of many drills to help
the learning process. Lead Instructor will be Coach Rhonda Revelle.

The Intermediate Pitching Session is designed for 12-14 year olds that have 5 or less years of experience pitching
in games. (14 year olds who are participating in the High School season cannot participate at this time due to Nebraska high
school rules.)
The focus will be tuning up mechanics, ‘mastering’ the entire strike zone, and learning how to throw the CHANGE-
UP. Lead Instructor will be Coach Lori Sippel.

Clinic Dates:      Tuesday, September 7, 14, 21, 2010
Clinic Time:       6:15 – 7:00 pm (Beginners)
                   7:00 – 8:00 pm (Intermediate)
Cost:              Beginners:        $50.00 for 3 – 45 minute sessions. Check made payable to Big Red Softball.
                   Intermediates: $60.00 for 3- 60 minute sessions

game to the next competitive level. Mastering the physical skill of pitching and catching is not enough!
Big Red Softball is offering an intense single day opportunity for those pitchers and catchers who are serious about
setting the tone for their team physically and emotionally in 2010.

Items to Bring:   Each pitcher is responsible for providing their own catcher.
                  If catcher wants to receive instruction / attend the camp, she must register and fill out her own
                  application. If catcher only attends camp to catch for pitcher when necessary, an application
                  does not have to be filled out. Each catcher is responsible for bringing their own catching gear.

Holiday Hitting Camp                                   Wednesday, December 29, 2010
This camp is designed for those hitters ages 13 years and older who want to take their
offense to the next competitive level. Mastering the physical skill of hitting is not enough!
Big Red Softball is offering an intense single day opportunity for those hitters who are serious about being the one
who comes through when the game is on the line.
