                                          ADVISORY COUNCIL (PAC) MEETING
                                            Dear McKinney Families,

                                            Welcome back to School, we hope you all had a lovely summer. We held
                                                                                                             th
                                            our first Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meeting on September 17 . The
                                            meeting was well-attended and focused on planning for the year ahead.

                                                               This year, Richmond schools expect significant
                                                               budget cuts and the PAC’s help will be required more
                                                               than ever. To ensure we can continue supporting our
                                                               children, the PAC Fundraising Committee is
                                                               considering the following activities this year:

Family Photo Night Is Back!

On Monday, November 2, 2009 between                      Cookie Dough, Pies, Pizza and Dessert Fundraiser
5:00pm to 9:00pm, MjM Studios will be bringing

                              Richmond Association for Montessori (RAM) Meeting
                              The next RAM meeting will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Manoah Steves
                              Elementary at 7 pm.

                              All Montessori parents and caregivers are welcome and there will be childminding.

                              Montessori families, please check your children's backpacks for our new 2009/2010
                              Membership Kit. The kit includes our Newsletter which will provide you with important
                              information for the year.

                              Also, families returning their membership forms by October 7th are eligible for our draw for
                              movie passes for a family of 4!
