AeroShares Charter, LLC buys http://www.CharterAuction.com Will Relaunch Online Travel Technology Platform to Allow Users to Bid on Private Jet Charter FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OCTOBER 8, 2009 Portsmouth, NH – New Hampshire company AeroShares Charter, LLC has announced the acquisition of website http://www.CharterAuction.com and plans to relaunch the pioneering online resource for private jet charter in coming weeks. CharterAuction.com, formerly owned by www.jets.com (http//:www.jets.com), will let travelers post their travel needs online and then receive competitive bids on jet charter from domestic and international private jet operators. This competitive bid process makes air charter more affordable, accessible, and convenient to a range of travelers. The relaunched CharterAuction.com will enable users to capitalize on an existing worldwide network of thousands of private jet operators, as it did under www.jets.com. CharterAuction.com's business model will optimize return flights or “empty legs” as they are known in the jet charter industry. This strategy will provide competitive pricing for travelers, while also empowering jet operators to receive income, maximize utilization of private jet aircraft, and reduce wasteful green house gas emissions. “This is one of the premier Web addresses available in our industry,” said CharterAuction.com principle Don Bishop. “This url is well-known globally with private jet charter operators, partly due to its association with www.jets.com. It still draws a remarkable amount of website traffic. Bishop, an aviation management veteran, purchased the CharterAuction.com domain through his company AeroShares Charter, LLC, based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Kalled also serves as in-house counsel for AeroShares Charter, LLC. Bishop identified an opportunity to acquire CharterAuction.com after its former parent company Jets.com ceased operations in 2008. The website http://www.charterauction.com was groundbreaking when it launched in 1999 as an online technology portal for competitive private jet charter, setting the standard for online charter jet auctioning. Bishop is an aviation management veteran with 25 years in the industry who oversees charter company AeroShares Charter, LLC in Portsmouth, NH. He said the new www.CharterAuction.com will operate under the most stringent FAA Part 135 regulations, the highest safety standards in aviation.
