PD Offshore is a business unit of PD Ports utilising the ports of
Tees and Hartlepool. The ports are situated on the North East
Coast of England and provide lock free access to the River
Tees and Hartlepool Docks.
PD Offshore can offer land for fabrication work, development,
storage and all supply base operations. A variety of mobile
plant and heavy lift cranes are available for demobilisation
and mobilisation work with flexible working arrangements.
Laybys and crew changes are available on all berths.
The River Tees is home to various companies and facilities
situated along the river banks that have serviced the Oil
and Offshore industry for over 50 years offering a wide range
of skills.
HARTLEPOOL DOCK
Hartlepool is situated 6.4km north of the River
Tees on the North East coast of England and
provides lock free access to its facilities in
Victoria Harbour.
In recent years Hartlepool has been successful in expanding
in the Offshore sector. The Port is home to Heerema Group
who fabricate large modules, recent fabrications for the North
Sea include the Buzzard Project for Nexen Petroleum UK.
Recent Offshore work undertaken at the Port has included
major pipe spooling activity, mobilisation work and offshore
support for major contracts for Helix, Bluewater, Norsea,
Acergy and Statoil.
Hartlepool has versatile facilities, competitive rates and
extensive hinterland with over 30 hectares adjacent to port
operations for development opportunities. PD Offshore can
serve both European and Global markets for the Oil and
Gas Industry providing an alternative solution in a flexible
working environment.
PORT INFORMATION
The main quays in Victoria Harbour are Victoria Quay, Irvine’s Quay and Deep Water Berth
having quay lengths of 150m, 380m and 298m respectively.
Maximum vessel dimensions accepted at the port are 190m length x 33.0m beam.
Hartlepool Dock is home to Hereema Group who fabricate large modules for use in the
North Sea and JDR Cables who fabricate large offshore umbilicals.

Rail access To Deep Water Berth
The North Basin at Hartlepool is an enclosed Dock
with 386m of Quay and a depth of 3.11m on the sill.
Maximum dimensions accepted in the basin are
152m x 21m beam.
The basin has 3 Ro-Ro ramps which can be used for
landing or discharging of cargos, one of the Ro-Ro ramps
in the basin can handle cargo of 500 Tonnes. The basin is
ideal for heavy Roll on/Roll off fabrications built for the
offshore industry or any vessel requiring a constant level
of water for fabrication requirements etc. And all the
quays can be accessed by mobile cranes.

TEESPORT COMMERCE PARK
The Tees Commerce Park is situated on the river Tees 4 miles
from the mouth of the river and is a facility ideally suited for the
offshore industry.
The 48 hectare facility houses a number of companies offering, a
choice of warehousing, industrial units and office space. There is
over 700 metres of quay together with dry docks capable of
handling demobilisations, laybys and fabrication work.
The facility has many companies offering offshore related
services such as CTC Marine, Subocean Group Limited, LV
Shipping and MPI Offshore Limited.

LABOUR & ACCOMMODATION
As other ports experience ever greater demands for labour, they
are forced to increase their catchment areas. Length of journey
to work has increased to 30 miles plus in the more congested
areas. As demand increases this situation will worsen.
Hartlepool and Teesport enjoys a robust supply of labour within
a 15 mile radius of the port.
Hartlepool and Teesport can support all the labour/workforce
needed for all types of related work. The area can also provide
lodgings for your workforce with a good supply of national hotel
chains to bed & breakfast accommodation within short
distances of port facilities.

Teesport sees over 6,000 arrivals each year, with the Port Operations Centre overseeing the safe
movement of each vessel.

PD Ports has its own dredging fleet to maintain the navigable
