                             Unity
I dreamed I stood in a studio And when at last their task was
and watched two sculptors there. done, they stood proud of
The clay they used was a young what they had wrought.
child's mind, and they fashioned For things they had molded into
it with care. the child could neither be sold
                                          or bought.
One was a teacher; the tools he
used were books and music and And each agreed he would have
art; failed if he had worked alone,
One a parent with a guiding hand, For behind the parent stood the
and a gentle, loving heart. school, and behind the
                                          teacher, the home.
Day after day the teacher toiled,
with touch that was deft and sure, (Author Unknown)
While the parent labored by his side
  and polished and smoothed it
  o’er.
