Young Entrepreneurs High School Summer Program 2006 SUMMER PROGRAM OVERVIEW What is Young Entrepreneurs? Young Entrepreneurs is a non-profit organization that offers a unique opportunity for high-achieving, motivated high school students like yourself. It’s designed to provide you with the fundamental skills to start your own business and become an entrepreneur. Many students during the six week program will start a business. Others will wait until the timing is right for them. Young Entrepreneurs teaches that “Every participant can follow their dreams and accomplish great things.” Our job at Young Entrepreneurs is to give you the knowledge, resources, tools and support and the confidence needed in order to start your own business. Young Entrepreneurs consists of several components including the following:       6 evening classes with guest lecturers Opportunities to earn money through competitions 5 workbooks A dinner reception with parents A DVD video of you and your entrepreneur class experiences over the 6 week program Lifetime membership to Young Entrepreneurs     A personal website hosted at www.utahentrepreneurs.com Access to the entrepreneur wiki (free resources, mentorship, and tools) Lifetime mentorship through Young Entrepreneurs A free refresher course Upon successful completion of the Young Entrepreneurs High School Summer Program 2006, students will understand the following:              Basics of entrepreneurship and owning a small business Personal qualities and skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur Business Ideas Opportunity Recognition Market Research Business Organization Management Teams Latest technologies Leadership and Teamwork Sales and Negotiation Marketing and the Internet Operations and Financials Running the business Application Form- Summer Program June 7th – July 13th 2006 This Form May Be Copied Please print or type legibly It is a privilege to participate in Young Entrepreneurs High School Summer Program.
