Gateway Corridor Route Alternatives through Oakdale, Lake Elmo, and
The Gateway Corridor is a planned 12-mile transitway located in Ramsey and Washington Counties.
The corridor will run generally parallel to Interstate 94 and will connect downtown Saint Paul with its
east side neighborhoods and the suburban cities of Maplewood, Landfall, Oakdale, Lake Elmo, and
The Gateway Corridor project is considering two route alignments (named D1 and D2) for Bus Rapid
Transit (BRT) or Light Rail Transit (LRT) through Oakdale, Lake Elmo, and Woodbury.
A meeting will be held to discuss the D1 and D2 alignments on

The purpose of the meeting is to inform community members in the Gateway Corridor of these two
alignments, and gather community input on the advantages and disadvantages of each alignment.
Input received at this meeting will help policy makers on the Gateway Policy Advisory Committee and
Gateway Corridor Commission decide what alignment(s) advance for further evaluation. The meeting
will be an open house; there will be a brief presentation at 5:30 pm and again at 6:30 pm to provide an
overview of the available materials. Community members will be welcome to discuss and offer input
on the alignments, and ask questions of project staff.
