           ANNUAL MEETINGS OF BOARD AND ACADEMIC ADVISORY BODY ARE CONDUCTED ONCE A
            YEAR

     The meetings of the Board of Governors take place twice a year to look into the overall development of the
     institute.
     The Academic Advisory Council meets once in a quarter and so far three meetings have taken place during the
     academic session 2008-09. The AAC recoommends the Institute about incorporating the latest Teaching
     Methodologies along with establishing the latest State-of-the-Art Lab facilities.

     NATURE AND EXTENT OF INVOLVEMENT OF FACULTY AND STUDENTS IN ACADEMIC
      AFFAIRS/IMPROVEMENTS:


Faculty is involved in coordinating academic and other activities related to the students. A mentor is designated
for each student who looks after his/her personal and academic needs throughout his/her stay in the institution.
The mentor faculty carefully examines and ensures the development of the students as per Institution vision and
corporate needs.




     MECHANISM/NORMS & PROCEDURE FOR DEMOCRATIC/GOOD GOVERNANCE:


Various committees such as Academic Committee, Students Welfare Committee, Cultural Committee etc. are
formed to manage the activities and suggest the management, the various steps for improvement.




     STUDENT FEEDBACK ON INSTITUTIONAL GOVERNANCE/FACULTY PERFORMANCE:


At the end of each semester, a feedback from students is obtained on various aspects like faculty performance,
teaching aids, teaching environment, extra curricular activities etc.




     GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL MECHANISM FOR FACULTY, STAFF AND STUDENTS:


The Management of the Trust, starting from the Chairman of the Trust to faculty members of the Institute are
always available to redress student grievances. Listening to and solving students’ problems are given higher
priority.

Placement Facilities: Institute has its own placement cell, headed by a Director Placements. The cell
continuously monitors industry needs and prepares the students for jobs. Special emphasis has been laid on
developing soft skills for which about 70 hours per semester are devoted.

       NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIP OFFERED BY THE INSTITUTE, DURATION AND AMOUNT

No. of Scholarship – There is no fixed number of scholarships. Any number of students can get scholarships by
showing their merits in academics, sports as well as on compassionate grounds, whose brothers /sisters are
studying in the same college/ or, those who have lost their father.


The duration of scholarships is for the total period of their stay in the College after the award of fellowship
unless/until his performance becomes poor in some subsequent semester. The total amount can also not be fixed
as the amounts of the scholarships are flexible varying between 25% of tuition fee to 75% of tuition fee.




       CRITERIA FOR FEE WAIVERS/SCHOLARSHIP.

The Institution proposes the following scholarship


AT ENTRY LEVEL
Merit/ position holders in the entrance test are given scholarships and concessions in the following manner:
Equivalent to 75% of Tuition fee -                 Top 50 positions in Uni. entrance test.
Equivalent to 50% of Tuition fee -                 51-150 positions in Uni entrance test.
Equivalent to 25% of Tuition fee -                 151-300 positions in Uni. entrance test.


Equivalent to 50% of tuition fee ‘A’ Grade certificate holder in the sports that are recognized by the concerned
University/Board

Equivalent to 25% of tuition fee. ‘B’ Grade certificate holder in the sports that are recognized by the concerned
University/Board State or winner/runner up in the sports that are recognized by the concerned Uni.


Note: The above said concession will be limited for tution fee payable for one semester and the concession
amount will be adjusted against the dues of the next semester.


        ON THE BASIS OF UNIV./BOARD RESULTS
Equivalent to 25% of Tuition fee -           Students scoring 85 % marks and above or 1 to 10 positions in
University examination.


Note: The above said concession will be valid for a semester only if the student scores 85% or more marks or
position as stated in one semester of the academic session. In case the student scores marks/position as stated
above in both the semesters/annual examination, the concession will be valid for one year and shall be adjusted
along with the tuition fee of the next semester/year of the respected class. However, in case of final year students,
the concession shall be adjusted in the tuition fee of the last semester only.


Equivalent to 25% of Tuition fee Members of Inter University winner team/individual


Other fee concessions for duration of the course

Conditions:


Scholarships/ concessions can be withdrawn if the student indulges in indiscipline, strike or any other unlawful
activity.
A student can avail only one scholarship/concession at a time.
For availing any of the mentioned concessions the student must give his/her application in the name of the
Director/Principal along with relevant documents.

X.      ADMISSION PROCEDURE

     The admissions are done through MANAGEMENT Entrance Test –conducted by State Govt. through PTU,
     JALANDHAR, known as MET.

      THE POLICY OF REFUND OF FEE, IN CASE OF WITHDRAWAL, SHOULD BE CLEARLY NOTIFIED.

-      REFUND OF ADMISSION FEE:
The admission fee will be refunded as per Univ. /Board rules, if the student leaves the Institute before the close of
admission through Univ. /State Board counselling.


-       REFUND OF HOSTEL/TRANSPORT FEE:


In case the student who has taken the hostel/ transport facility of the institution, changes the facility from hostel to
transport or vice-versa then his/ her fee shall be adjusted with fee of subsequent facility after deducting the pro-
rata charges of the facility already availed by him/ her. If the student opts not to avail the above mentioned facility,
his/her balance fee or security if any, shall be refunded only at the end of the respective academic session after

deducting pro-rata charges for the period for which the facility was used. However, in such a case the student
must inform in writing to the Director Administration, failing which he/ she shall not be entitled to refund of fee.


-            REFUND OF SECURITY:


All kinds of security of the continuing/ongoing student will be refundable only after the completion of
degree/diploma courses.

   A Students’ feedback system has been started in which the students rate the Faculty according to a defined
   Performa. The Director himself also takes the Students into confidence from each and every group/class and
