     STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
     Provided by
     MINE DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATES, INC.

     Mine Development Associates provides geologic and engineering services to the mining industry.
     Our expertise lies in advising clients about their mining projects, at any stage of exploration,
     development, production, or closure. MDA’s experience ranges from grass roots exploration to
     daily mine operations and includes every step of a project’s development. Our goal is to provide
     clients with the best data and analysis of their project, allowing them to make more informed
     decisions regarding their project. This can entail advising about sample handling procedures,
     developing models of the orebody, or optimizing and planning production schedules. The end
     product allows for better utilization of resources and increased efficiencies.


     WHO WE ARE
     Our Registered Professional Geologists and Registered Mining Engineers are mineral industry
     professionals with many years working experience in exploration and operations. We’ve worked
     in gold, silver, copper, palladium, uranium, coal, gypsum, limestone, silica, and other industrial
     minerals. We have associations with other professionals such as Metallurgical Engineers,
     Geotechnical Engineers, Geostatistical Specialists, Geohydrological Experts, and Geographic
     Information Systems Experts, with whom we work on a regular basis to provide seamless,
     complete services to our clients.


     HOW WE WORK
     Mine Development’s office is equipped with today’s technology. We use industry-standard
     mining software (Surpac, Medsystem, geostatistical analysis, Whittle pit optimization, MineSched
     scheduling software & Autocad), other specialized software (ArcInfo Geographic Information
     Systems), and some we’ve developed ourselves (production optimization and drill hole
     contamination detection software) to facilitate our analytical tasks and to help our clients visualize
     their projects. Our degree of technical sophistication allows us to conduct our work efficiently.
     We value our personal communications with our clients and encourage client involvement, so that
     our work is well understood and incorporates our client’s knowledge of the project.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Neil Prenn has over 40 years experience as a practicing Mining Engineer performing tasks associated
with defining and calculating ore reserves, designing mines, optimizing mine designs, mine planning
and scheduling, analyzing capital and operating costs, and managing staff. He has conducted feasibility
and pre-feasibility studies and scoping studies. He has prepared technical reports for submission to
security commissions and NI 43-101 reports as a Qualified Person. Mr. Prenn is Mine Development’s
Principal Engineer. He has been with Mine Development since he founded the Company in 1987.

Mr. Prenn has worked with a wide variety of commodities including gold, silver, platinum group metals,
copper, cobalt, base metals, limestone, mineral sands, aggregate, bauxite, silica, coal, uranium, and
industrial minerals.

Steve Ristorcelli has over 25 years experience in exploration and development. His primary focus has
been in deposit modeling, identifying and correcting sampling problems, conducting geologic
evaluations, performing geostatistical evaluations, and directing exploration programs. He has
performed numerous modeling and resource definition studies, including annual updates for projects in
development and production and has prepared technical reports for submission to security commissions.
He is classified as a “Qualified Person” for Canadian Securities Exchanges. Mr. Ristorcelli is Mine
Development’s Principal Geologist and frequently serves as Project Manager, directing all work for a
client’s scope of work. He has been with Mine Development since 1992.

Michael Gustin has over 25 years experience in exploration and management throughout the Western

delineation and development, drilling supervision, and all aspects of field geology. Mr. Gustin is Mine

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Tom Dyer has over 11 years experience as a practicing Mining Engineer performing essentially all tasks
associated with an operating mine, more specifically the Cortez Gold Mine in Beowawe, Nevada and
other Placer Dome properties. His various duties included updating reserve and resource models, pit
optimization projects, pit design, short-term and long-term planning, cost tracking, supervising surface
and underground mine personnel and participating in the Mine’s Feasibility Study. Tom also has nearly
15 years experience working as a miner in a variety of underground and surface operations, operating a
range of equipment in gold, limestone and coal mines. Mr. Dyer is Mine Development’s Senior
Engineer and is a Qualified Person as defined by Canadian NI43-101 regulations. He has been with
Mine Development since July 2007.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Don Avery has 20 years experience as an exploration geologist and mining engineer. In addition, his
aptitude for computer programming and hardware installation have led to advanced capabilities and
experience in network design and installation, specialized database design in SQL and Access, linking
graphical entities to databases. Don’s geology and engineering experience includes all facets of
exploration, including prospecting, geologic mapping, project planning, and overseeing geochemical and
geophysical programs as well as providing preliminary resource estimates. Don has provided clients
with custom databases with interfaces to assay labs for assay reporting and direct transfer of data, as
well as interfaces with geologic databases to GIS-based company-wide databases. Don has been with
Mine Development since 1996 and serves in a unique capacity to the Company and the industry.

Mr. Avery has worked with a wide variety of commodities including gold, silver, base metals,
limestone, aggregates, and industrial minerals. Don is also MCP certified with an MCSE certification in
process and he has taught numerous courses in CAD and database design.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Paul Tietz has over 30 years experience in exploration and management throughout Western,
Southeastern and Southern U.S. for precious metals and base metals. Mr. Tietz has particular expertise
in exploration management and project development. Past experience has included target delineation
and development, drilling supervision, and all aspects of field geology. Mr. Tietz is a Senior Geologist
with Mine Development and conducts resource definition studies, including field advisement on
exploration drilling QA/QC procedures. He is classified as a “Qualified Person” for Canadian Securities
Exchanges. He worked as a consultant with Mine Development for most of 2006 and joined the staff at
the end of the year.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Aaron Hanson has 10 years experience in geologic computing, including three-dimensional modeling
incorporating geologic interpretation, data validation, and spatial analysis. In addition, his aptitude for
computing has gained him experience in all aspects of data processing, including database management
and design and network administration. Aaron has been with Mine Development since early 2003 and
serves in a specialty geologic computing capacity to the Company.

Mr. Hanson has worked with a variety of commodities including gold, silver, limestone, and aggregates.

Edwin Peralta has over 10 years experience as a practicing Mining Engineer performing a variety of
services for operating mines, mine contracting assignments, and mining software clients. His various
duties included updating reserves, short-term and long-term planning, and acting as teaching assistant in
the Mine Ventilation Systems Lab and the Fluid Mechanics Lab. While working with a mining
contractor, his assignments included ground support and a high-speed rail project at the Stillwater Mine
and cost estimating for various underground projects. Mr. Peralta is Mine Development’s Project
Engineer. He has been with Mine Development since November 2007.
