Spring 2010 Management and Leadership of NP Organizations (PSAA 644)
Examines of the distinctiveness nature of NP organizations and the leadership skills
necessary for effective operation
Tuesday night 5:00 – 8:00 PM (January 19 – May 12, 2010). Instructor: Will Brown
Fall 2010 Philanthropy: Fund Raising in Nonprofit Organizations (PSAA 633)
This course examines the theory and practice of fundraising and provides students
with an overview of fundraising strategies to achieve of organizational goals.
One evening a week (approx August 30 – December 16, 2010)
Spring 2011 Foundations of the Nonprofit Sector (PSAA 643)
Overview of the origins, size, scope, and composition of the nonprofit and voluntary
sector in American society today
Elective course (TBD)
Cost for a Texas resident is approximately $1850 per course. Tuition and fees are contingent on approval
and modification by the Texas Board of Regents. Financial aid is available.
Bush School scholarships up to $500 per course may be provided to those individuals who secure
matching funds from their agency. Scholarship funds are applied towards the tuition and fees for courses
offered at the United Way facility in Houston as part of the graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
Scholarships are made available through the generous support of the McFadden Trust for the Bush School.
Graduate Courses are offered in cooperation with
United Way of Greater Houston at the
Community Resource Center, 50 Waugh Drive, Houston, Texas 77007.
