IT Engineering Technician:
Working in the IT Engineering Department on variety of maintenance and installation projects  Installing and PAT testing Servers, Switches and Power management/monitoring hardware.  Network monitoring, maintaining documentation and the PAT database, placing purchase orders.  Providing General IT help both for hardware and software. Fixing PC hardware, Printers, etc…

Audio Visual and Computer Technician:
Working in the Remote Teaching Studios, main duties involve setting up satellite and internet transmissions from the teaching studios, facilitating the requirements of the lecturers and maintaining the studios hardware and software.  Set up, maintain and update the computer network, software and data files.  Schedule-design and compile the data for the lecturing programs  Improve system capabilities and reliability.

Media Developer:
Working with the Interactive Media Department, creating 3D media for internal and external customers  Created CGI intro movies and animated logos for broadcast,  Created 3D medical animations for teaching media.  Created interactive 3D teaching media/quizzes for museum exhibits.

Oct 1994 to Present: The Theatre Royal, Nottingham
Lighting and Sound Engineer:
I worked at the theatre full time from 1994 to 2001. I’m still working there on a casual basis. Lighting and sound on most of the biggest professional touring shows from “Cats” to “Rocky Horror Show”,  Rigging lights and speakers, focusing, lighting set from a lighting desk and operating follow spots, operating lighting and sound desks for shows, creating and editing sound effects.  Working as part of a large team, building sets, flying and operating stage electrics for shows.  Electrical maintenance and portable appliance testing.

June 2000 to Aug 2001: Carlton TV studios, Nottingham
Lighting and Electrical Engineer:
Studio lighting for “Kiss Me Kate”, “Barbara”, “Crossroads” and “Central Weekend”, etc…  Working as part of a team, rigging lights, focusing lights and lighting sets from a lighting desk.  Location-lighting for “Peek Practice” and “Crossroads”, etc…

I have been the Technical Director for Lowdham Pantomime Group since 1993 (a non-profit organisation). I enjoy computing (Games programming, 3D graphics and animation) , photography, cycling, walking, climbing, golf, listening to music and watching films, playing and making guitars, woodwork, model-making, vehicle mechanics / maintenance (restoring classic cars) and making custom Rubik’s cubes,
