Media Information NCL starts selling Star Cruises in Continental Europe – first European brochure published Wiesbaden, August 01, 2006 – With immediate effect, NCL starts selling the cruises of its Asian parent company Star Cruises in Continental Europe. The first European Star Cruises brochure is published this week. The programme for the season October 2006 to April 2008 offers resort-style cruising with Asian flair aboard three ships in the Mediterranean, Southeast Asia and India. Seven-night cruises are available from 704 Euro per person. Sales for the Star Cruises programme starts on August 01 and bookings can be made via the NCL Continental Europe Office in Wiesbaden, Germany. Like aboard the NCL fleet, the Star Cruises resorts offer the innovative Freestyle Cruising concept which aims at providing as much flexibility and freedom as possible to the guests. Thus, there are up to eight restaurants available on board the Star Cruises fleet as well as wide public areas with several bars and lounges, modern Spas and large fitness centres. In addition, a varied entertainment and shore excursion programme is offered. “With the Star Cruises programme in Southeast Asia and India, we offer cruises to entirely new destinations to our clients. With flexible combinations and departures from Malta, Venice and Civitavecchia (Rome), the Mediterranean cruises are of special interest to our clients as well. Therefore, our present portfolio is excellently complemented by the Star Cruises programme”, says Michael Zengerle, General Manager NCL Continental Europe. Mediterranean & Greek Isles Between June and September 2007, SuperStar Libra cruises to the Eastern Mediterranean on seven- and eleven-night cruises from Valletta (Malta), available from 704 Euro. In addition, these cruises can flexibly be booked in sections from six to 14 nights from Venice, Valletta and Civitavecchia (Rome). Apart from classic Italian harbours like Naples, Civitavecchia (Rome) and La Spezia (Florence/Pisa), the vessels as well call at Olbia on Sardinia and the Greek isles of Santorini, Mykonos, Rhodes, Crete and Corfu. Additionally, the cruise “Egypt & the Ancient Isles” takes guests to Alexandria (Egypt). Southeast Asia SuperStar Gemini and SuperStar Virgo are deployed in Southeast Asia year-round. SuperStar Gemini cruises the Strait of Malacca, the Gulf of Thailand and the South China Sea on seven-, ten- and 21-night sailings from Singapore and Hong Kong. Ports of call include the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, the Thai islands of Phuket, Ko Samui and Krabi as well as Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City. The cruises are available from 822 Euro per person. SuperStar Virgo sets sail from Singapore for two-, three- and five-night cruises along the Malaysian coast up to Phuket and cruises the South China Sea to Redang Island, Ko Samui, Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City. Two-night cruises are bookable from 232 Euro per person. India Between October 2006 and May 2007, SuperStar Libra starts from Mumbai to two- and three-night mini cruises to Goa and Kadmat Island.
